Our Purpose as the Perth-Andover Baptist Church is to bring people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and, within a supportive church family, to equip and to train them to be passionate followers of Jesus Christ who use their God – given gifts to honor and glorify Him.
Natural Church Development
Since 2005 our church has been working with Natural Church Development which looks at 8 key principles that apply to all healthy and growing churches. If the church is growing in all 8 characteristics the church will automatically grow all by itself. NCD is not a program but simply helps the church to take a close look at itself signifying areas in which the church needs to improve in order to see the church become all that Christ intends for it to be. Thirty people from the congregation who meet three areas of Criteria set by Natural Church Development will be surveyed on a yearly basis to evaluate the health of all eight characteristics within our church ministries. The eight characteristics are: 1. Empowering Leadership 2. Gift-based Ministry 3. Passionate Spirituality 4. Effective Structures 5. Inspiring Worship Services 6. Holistic Small Groups 7. Need-oriented Evangelism 8. Loving Relationships. We have worked hard developing ministries that are built around these 8 characteristics resulting in significant growth in all eight principles for which we give God all the praise.
